Can Arsenal fight for the title next season?

Arsenal is the type of team that at the start of the season we see them as title contenders but seem to always have a slow start or during mid season they start giving up points and that hurts their title chances at the end. The question is can Arsenal win the title next season with this squad? I believe they can't even though they got talented players like Özil, Alexis, Welbeck, Ramsey, Wilshere and company they are missing a Goalkeeper, maybe a defensive midfielder, and definitely a world class striker.

In the Goalkeeper position the Colombian David Ospina has been ok but not great. But if they get Peter Chech, or an Hugo Lloris, maybe the Mexican sensation during the last World Cup Guillermo Ochoa then Arsenal will definitely have a strong keeper to defend the Arsenal Goal. The defense will feel secure with a talented Goalkeeper especially the likes of Chech and Lloris but those two would be hard to get since they both play in their own competition maybe Chech with the right offer.

They are also a midfielder away we can say they are stacked in the midfield but you got to realize that some of their talented midfielders are injury prone and a talented backup wont hurt. Especially if Arsenal want to challenge Chelsea for the title next season. Their is a rumor that Arsenal is willing to pay the 37 million euros clause of the German international Julian Drexler he would be an excellent no.10 in the gunner's starting XI. He is not only young but he is talented and a World Cup Champion. They could also look ate Hector Herrera the talented Mexican midfielder currently playing at FC Porto and playing great football showing his skills controlling the ball as well as shooting it from the outside. He has great defensive and attacking skills. With these two midfielders they can totally challenge Chelsea or Man. City for the title next season.

But they will still need a world class striker like Benzema or Higuain. Ironically both player born in France. Benzema would be a hard steel from Real Madrid as he recently sign a fiver year extension with Madrid and his price won't be cheap. If Ancelotti is still there next season he won't let him go as he has expressed in many occasion that he is untouchable from his squad. Gonzalo Higuain the Argentina international would be an easier sign as his club Napoli might not play Champions League next season and the could persuade him to endure a move to the Emirates. But his price tag wont be cheap but Arsene has showed especially last season acquiring Alexis from Barca that he is willing to spend for the right players. The center back position is pretty much solved as Hector Moreno from Espanyol is set to move to Arsenal next season for a purchase of 14 million euros and Espanyol can't complain as they need the extra cash to survive economically.

If Arsenal makes these types of moves or acquires top world class players at least three they can fight for the Barclay's Premier League Title in 2015/2016 season. This summer will a busy one for the Arsene Wenger and his staff. We will soon find out if he is willing to spend to upgrade his squad and fight for the title that the teams and fans deserve.

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is earning a long term stay with Real Madrid

With the recent performances from Chicharito he was well earned a permanent stay with "Los Blancos". It all started when Ancelotti gave him a shot to start and play the entire 90 minutes, as he needed to make a rotation of his starting lineup the number 14 didn't waste his opportunity against Eibar where he scored a wonderful header and linked well with his team-mates.

A week later in an important match against Malaga he came off the bench in the 3rd minute due to an injury from Gareth Bale and added an assist to Ronaldo and played a solid game showing his potential to fight for a starting spot or becoming the first substitution for Ancelotti maybe giving him 20 -30 minutes per game instead of leaving him on the bench like most of the season. The chance he was waiting for came agaisnt Atletico de Madrid in the 2nd leg of the Champions League quarter finals were he scored the game winner becoming the hero for Real Madrid and giving them the pass to the semis. After scoring that goal his status went up even the entire Bernabeu chanted his name he was on top of the world.

His perfect week continued with a win against Celta Vigo where he scored two beautiful goals one with a great combination with James, the second with and assist from Ramos showing his great ball control. He demonstrated in that game his great understanding with Ronaldo and James. His next chance came against Almeria where he played the entire match and had an assist playing another solid match. He then earned the chance to start against Sevilla another strong opponent and tough match and register another assist this time to Ronaldo came off the pitch at the 65 minute for Gareth Bale.

In this past three weeks Javier Hernandez has played 6 matches scored 4 goals and 3 assists. With these numbers he has demonstrated Ancelotti that he is a player he can trust on when needed. Carlo has realized he made a mistake with Chicharito saying he should had used him a lot more throughout the season. Ancelotti said: "How many times do I make mistakes? I have to pick 11 players. You can make mistakes but you can't spend time thinking about what you've done wrong. He's done well, helped the side and hopefully he can continue.

"A permanent transfer is something we will analyse at the end of the season. I'm happy with his work through the year, he's very professional and has made the most of his opportunity. For a manager to work alongside a player who is always ready and grabs his opportunities is very positive. It's a very good thing."

We will see what role Chicharito has earned in Real Madrid once Benzema comes back from his injury. His next chance to play comes against Juventus in the Champions League semis. He might start or come off the bench Benzema is suppose to come back for that match but might not be ready for it. If Ancelotti wants to give Chicharito a chance he will most likely play with a 4-3-3 with Ronaldo, Bale and Chicharito up front and Benzema coming off the bench as Ancelotti won't risk him playing him the entire 90 minutes. If he play's with a 4-4-2 then Chicharito's chances to start are slim but could come off the bench as a reward for his recent performances.

Either way I believe he has earn his long term deal with Real Madrid. As I believe Madrid won't find a striker that cheap with great skills and not complaining about being on the bench and coming on as a substitute of the French striker. He is the type of player that won't disrupt the group for not earning a lot of playing minutes. We will see at the end of his loan if Real Madrid are keen to sign him.
